Welcome to The Kashrut Authority Discussion Group.

Introduction
The intention in providing this forum to kosher consumers, and those in the process of becoming kosher consumers, is to offer a platform where you can ask all your kashrut questions, and receive a prompt reply from the member of The KA best equipped to provide the correct answer.

The Discussion Group is also the place to lodge your request for a particular product to be investigated, to determine whether there is any opportunity for the product to be produced kosher.

Moderators
Halachic (matters of Jewish Law) questions will be answered by Rabbi Moshe D Gutnick, Rabbinic Administrator, Rabbi Aaron Groner, Assistant Rabbinic Administrator, or in their absence one of the other Rabbanim who serve on The Kashrut Authority Board of Management.

Financial matters, or questions of lay policy, will be answered by The President, Secretary or Treasurer currently holding office on The Kashrut Authority Board of Management, or by Mrs Girgee Barukh, Office and Accounts Administrator.

Joining
All you need to join The Kashrut Authority Discussion Group is a Yahoo ID.  If you don’t have a Yahoo ID, just go to The Kashrut Authority Discussion Group log in page, accessible from The Kashrut Authority website, www.ka.org.au, where you can register.  You only to need to sign up once.   Log in with your Yahoo ID, and go to “Settings”, to set up your Yahoo account so that all postings to the Group are delivered to your usual e-mail address. Then, you will never miss a posting.

Posting
Once at the Discussion Group, you can post your own question, suggestion or comment and peruse all the other entries.  You can also reply to postings

Posting Rules
Obviously, there are a few rules, which must be adhered to for your posting to be approved by the moderator, prior to publication.

• Membership is free, open to all Yahoo ID holders and does not require approval
• All postings require approval by the moderators
• All postings should have some relevance to matters of kashrut
• Postings will be removed if they contain any unlawful content
• The author is responsible and liable for all postings.  If posted then The Kashrut Authority accepts no responsibility for illegal postings
• No comments considered defamatory or libellous will be approved for publication, and the determination of such is at the sole and unfettered discretion of the moderators
• No Lashon Hara or abuse
• No attachments are permitted
• Messages with anonymous sender addresses will not be published

If the above rules are not followed then The KA reserves the right to suspend your access.
